Print this story Three young men were arrested early Saturday morning after they were discovered allegedly trying to steal nearly $600 worth of assorted golf equipment at Elks Country Club, 1800 S. Marymount. Arrested were Daron M. Hendrickson, 21, Bennington; Evan A. Cox, 22, 1200 Greeley; and Patrick D. Werth, 21, 233 E. Beloit. "Officers were sent there reference an alarm," said Lt. Gerald Shaft. "When they got there they observed three subjects inside the business, piling stuff up." One was captured at the scene; the other were were captured later, Shaft said.
Items recovered included three golf bags, valued at $110 to $220 each; four Callaway six-irons, valued at $20 each; and a putter and a golf ball basket. The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. |
