Underage Drinking says....
Why does it seem like the biggest problem we have in this town is underage drinking? They make it seem like kids drinking and being kids is the worst problem we have in salina. It's pretty sad really, they're kids, they're just looking for a good time before they turn out like the loyal blue and be fun haters

Three arrested in golf equipment theft


Three young men were arrested early Saturday morning after they were discovered allegedly trying to steal nearly $600 worth of assorted golf equipment at Elks Country Club, 1800 S. Marymount.

Arrested were Daron M. Hendrickson, 21, Bennington; Evan A. Cox, 22, 1200 Greeley; and Patrick D. Werth, 21, 233 E. Beloit.

"Officers were sent there reference an alarm," said Lt. Gerald Shaft. "When they got there they observed three subjects inside the business, piling stuff up."

One was captured at the scene; the other were were captured later, Shaft said.

Items recovered included three golf bags, valued at $110 to $220 each; four Callaway six-irons, valued at $20 each; and a putter and a golf ball basket.

The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m.
