It's interesting that a tornado struck the KSU campus in Manhattan, just as KSU was trying to get a superdangerous Level 4 biohazard unit built there. (Level 4 means they grow deadly and incurable viruses and bacteria that kill humans and animals, an insane Lex Luthor project.) What if a tornado makes a direct hit on a KSU Level 4 biohazard building and explodes it into pieces? What if those deadly viruses and bacteria are drawn up into the clouds and scattered all over every farm and city from Manhattan to St Louis and Chicago? We DON'T want a KSU Level 4 disaster to destroy America's cities and farmlands. It might give KSU and all of Kansas a bad name. Let them build the Level 4 hazmat building on Mars.

Wow.....brings back memories. I managed a claims office in Salina in the 70's and early 80's and worked many tornado, wind, and hail related losses in that area. I have retired from claims work and now live in Albuquerque. I wish all of you the best in getting repairs done and a quick and fair settlemant with your insurance company.

This has been an unusually strong year for twisters, hasn't it? Homeowners should consider building a "safe room" in their homes of rebar concrete. It can serve as a walk in closet and a safe place to ride out severe storms. Above all, it can save lives. Check "tornado safe rooms" and "Oklahoma safe rooms" for more info and building plans.

Tornado touches down in Salina
An apparent tornado damaged Crestwood Manufacturing in south Salina around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to Salina Emergency Management Director Bryan Armstrong.
In a televised interview, Armstrong reported the roof was damaged on Crestwood Manufacturing and some homes were struck by lightning.
"The south part of town apparently took a hit on a tornado. We don't know how extensive the damage is yet. " Armstrong said.
"We have other reports of lesser damage all over town and various parts of the county as well."
Armstrong said there were reports of golfball to baseball size hail from around town.
Check Salina.com for more details as they develop.
